As a teacher or administrator in our state schools, you
already know the value of a quality education in a child’s life.

The Tennessee Financial Literacy Commission is proud to
offer you new opportunities—at no cost to you—to enhance
your skills and bring critical financial education to
Tennessee youth.


Receive your financial literacy educator one-day training. Be equipped to teach key financial skills in the classroom immediately.

The Tennessee Financial Literacy Commission (TNFLC) is hosting free training summits across the state for elementary and middle school teachers this fall. Nearly 4,000 Tennessee teachers have attended these summits and have learned to incorporate financial literacy curriculum into regular classroom instruction.

The fall 2017 summits will start at 8:30 a.m. and end by 2 p.m. These trainings are free and include lunch and parking. All educators who attend will receive:

  • Training in the nationally-recognized Financial Fitness for Life® curriculum developed by the Council for Economic Education
  • A certificate of completion that can be used for professional education credits as permitted by their respective school district
  • A special presentation by a RetireReadyTN representative and the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about your retirement plan and steps you can take toward your retirement plannigng

Educators participating in a TNFLC summit for the first time will also receive:

  • A free set of curriculum and materials for your classroom
  • A $50 Amazon gift card upon completion of a post-summit survey

October 28: Southwest Tennessee Community College in Memphis
November 4: Northeast State Community College in Blountville
November 11: Dyersburg State Community College in Dyersburg
